About Chris Waugh
I'm a business consultant who resides on the Oregon Coast, and an author of four books and a weekly newspaper column. I focus on management, marketing and professional development. I have decades of business management experience (click for my bio) in a variety of industries. My greatest lessons from those experiences revolved around the importance of the interpersonal relationships within the organization. Effective teams are productive and profitable. I understand how hard it is to manage an organization and grow professionally when you can't foresee the future. I learned to gain altitude in my hang glider by finding and utilizing invisible wind currents. After spending hundreds of hours in the air, I wrote the book, "Flying By the Seat of Your Pants." When your plans go awry and you're out of options, what do you do? You have to wing it! You don't have time to stop and think. Success comes to those who know how to wing it well. I support several community organizations by serving on their boards or faculty, or as a volunteer. My favorites include the Oregon Coast Community College, Newport Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce, the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, and the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts. Meet some of my clients. They are busy business people, like you; entrepreneurial thinkers who know they haven't peaked yet and who like to question conventional wisdom. They think outside that boxy area their competition is stuck in. They offer endorsements. There is a smattering of comments from clients who have taken advantage of my consultation, facilitation, programs or/and presentations. Email me or call me at (541) 270-0399 and get off to a flying start. |
